1. What is What?

1.1 What is Rocks'n'Diamonds?

Rocks'n'Diamonds is a nice little game with color graphics and sound for your
Unix system with color X11, DOS or Windows. You need an 8-bit color display or better.
It will not work on black&white systems, and maybe not on gray scale systems.

If you know the game "Boulderdash" (Commodore C64) or "Emerald Mine"
(Amiga) or "Supaplex" (PC), you know what "ROCKS'N'DIAMONDS" is about.

However, Rocks'n'Diamonds is more than that, now when there's Custom Elements in the game.

1.2 What is RnDTool?

RnD Tool is a program I (Simon Forsberg) have made for RnD.
I mainly started it for the importing and exporting of Custom Elements,
 but I believe that more features will be added later.

2. Features and how to use them

2.1. Change Level title

- Load your level with the command "File --> Load Level" (or pressing F2)
- In the text edit "Level title" you will see the current title, change it.
- Press enter in the text edit, you will get a message saying that the title was updated.
- Done!

2.2. Changing "Emeralds to Collect" and "Time left"

- Load your level by pressing F2 (or "File --> Load Level")
- DONE! :) Naaah, just kidding :)
- In the "Emeralds to collect" field you will see the current amount
 of emeralds you need to collect, change it if you want.
- In the "Time left" field you will see the time in seconds
 you have to finish the level (where 0 = unlimited), change it if you want.
- Press the "Save time and emeralds to collect button"

NOTE: When setting time left or emeralds to collect to a value more than 999,
 the value will be reset to 999 when going to the Level Settings screen
 in the Level Editor (Don't blame me for this, blame Holger!)

2.3. Export CEs

- Load your level by pressing F2 (or "File --> Load Level")
- Press F6 to go to the CE Manager (or use "Tool --> CE Manager")
- You will see a list with all the Custom Elements in the level,
 put a mark on those you want to be exported
- Press the "Export Selected" button
- DONE! File saved to the filename of your level and with an additional extention ".rce"

Now that wasn't so hard? Don't worry, you haven't imported yet...:)

2.4. Import CEs

- Load the level you want the CEs in (Press F2)
- Press F6 to go to the CE Manager
- Press the button "Load CEs to Import"
 (NOTE: If you haven't loaded a level, nothing will happen)
- Find and load your ".rce" file created when you exported CEs
- In the listbox below the button you will now see a list of the CEs you are going to export
- Change where the CEs are going to be positioned in the level by changing the value of the
 spinedit and press the "Set Pos" button
 (Or you can change all values at once by pressing the "Inc/Dec All" button
- Press "Finish Import" when you are content with the values.
- If a message comes up saying that a CE is busy, you can go back and change where you want
 to place that specific CE. Or else, the old CE can not be accessed in RnD.
- Now, RnD Tool changes the links between the imported CEs
 so they match your import settings.

2.5. Adding a customized counter to your level

- Load the level you want the counter in (Press F2)
- Press F7 to go to the CC (Counter Creator)
- Configure your counter, set number of digits, change steps, special change, and more
 NOTE: Special change and number of digits not avalibe yet.
- Press "Create Counter"
- Now, RnD Tool will create some CEs for your needs so you can use them in your level
- Place the "counter maker" CE to the RIGHT of some zeros,
  and make sure it's empty space above them. Then your counter will work.
  Just don't forget to edit the "counter maker" CE and change the change conditions.

NOTE: There might be some extra elements created than what it says.
And the counting backwards functioning may be a little buggy. But I'll fix this later.
This is just a quick release.
